Mascara I Am Loving At The Moment

Sephora does so many good makeup products and this lash plumper ultra black mascara is one of them. The brush is very big and adds lots of volume. It’s also lengthening and does not make my lashes look clumpy. This mascara is probably my second fav after Vivienne Sabo Cabaret one.
Definitely try out this one by Sephora if you are looking for a good quality mascara.

I have been super lazy with my hair recently. I always find time to wash it and style it, but I forgot to properly treat my hair for at least 2 months now. As a result, my hair has become dry on the ends. Even my L’oreal Elvive oil, didn’t work. I have heard many good reviews on hair products with argan oil. I’ve been thinking between Macadamia and Moroccanoil hair masks, but they are way to expensive – $50 for a hair mask, I mean that’s too much. After I while I discovered Argan Oil Nutrition Infusing Mask by Argan De Luxe. The bottle says that this product is infused with Vitamin E, Omega 3 and Omega 9 fatty acids, that help repair the hair and restore softness.

This one was just $10, which is a great price for this product.

The first time I tried it, I applied it and left to sit in my hair for about 3 hours. After I rinsed it, I loved the result – my hair was super shiny, healthy and increadibly soft. Since I have pretty oily hair, I was concerned about this mask making my hair even more oily. But it didn’t! Instead, my hair looked clean and nice for 3 days after, and then I had to wash it again.

The second time I used this hair treatment, I washed my hair before going to bed, then applied this mask, did a bun on top of my had and went to sleep. In the morning I rinsed my hair, blowdried and styled it as usually. My hair felt and looked very healthy and shiny. It had lotsa volume as well.

My advice about a hair mask is to use it once a week and always apply it on the ends of your hair (from your ears and down), because if you put it in your roots, they’ll get super oily. And also leave it in your hair for as long as you can – you will notice the results, I promise!

Speaking about the consistency of this mask, it is very creamy and thick.

You don’t need a lot of this stuff – a little goes a long way! The smell is nice too – it has a very distinctive smell of an argan oil, nothing too fruity or sweet.

So yeah, I definitely recommend this hair mask to everyone. It will moisturise your hair and make it look so much healthier. This is proobably the first hair mask in my life that I will be repurchasing because I loved it so much.

Review: NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss

I recently got this lipgloss since I’ve heard so many youtube gurus rave about it. This is my first NYX purchase and I am sure I am going to get more of their makeup.
Going back to the lipgloss, mine is in the shade ‘127 Pink Frost’, the name pretty much says it all. I didn’t have anything like this, so I wanted to give it a try. The lip gloss is quite pigmented, so you don’t necessary need to apply a lipstick underneath. It turned out quite too fair for my skin tone, but I liked the quality of this product. Especially, I love the smell. And I am usually not a huge fan of strong-scented lip products, but this one is divine. It’s very sweet, kinda reminds me of lemonade and fruit, and lollipops. As for it’s lasting abilities, it lasts, however it gets quite sticky and gross on your lips after a while. So I personally recommend reapplying it every 2 hours or so. This gloss is not as good as Sephora one, but it is three times cheaper.
Overall, you get 15 ml of a decent quality lipgloss for only $5, which is great. You can purchase it from NYX official website.

I have been a fan of the original version of Rimmel Kate lipstick for more than a year now. It is not the most moistuisng lip product, but the pigmentation is great and I love how long lasting it is. Especially if you put a lip gloss on top, you don’t need to reapply it for a couple of hours. Plus, it is a drugstore product, so it is very affordable. I also think that Rimmel lipsticks are similar quality as Mac, but they are twice cheaper.
But going back to the Matte version of Kate lippie, they are pretty much the same quality as the original ones. I recently got colors 113 (beige) and 107 (rich burgundy). The burgundy is absolutely beautiful for Fall and I adore the pigmentation of this product. If you are looking for a perfect burgundy, definitely try this one because it looks amazing on different skin tones.

I have recently received these L’oreal products as a gift, so after using them for a while, I thought it would be great to do a review.

Starting from L’oreal Glam Shine 6h lip gloss, I must say I was very prejudiced against it. I tried it in different shades and I absolutely hated it – it smelled cheap, was VERY sticky (even stickier than Victoria’s Secret lip glosses!) and it dried up my lips like crazy. After that awful experience, I would never ever go buy them again. However, when I received one as a present, I forced myself to give it another try.

Mine is in the shade 102 ‘Always Pink’ and it’s a pretty dark pink with very subtle shimmer to it. The color is very sheer and matches my natural lip color almost perfectly. It looks very flattering on almost anyone because it looks so neutral. After applying it, I realized it wasn’t that bad at all. I have found out that with L’oreal 6H lip glosses, some shades just have crappy quality and sticky texture to them, but this one turned out absolutely lovely. As I have already mentioned, it looks very natural and pretty on it’s own, but I love using a nice moisturising lipstick underneath (so that it won’t dry up my lips). Definitely going to purchase a couple of more shades of these.

Next – my new concealer True Match by L’oreal. I have been loving my Garnier roller under my eyes and my Maybelline concealer to cover up rednesses/pimples for a while, until I got this little devil. It’s quite thick, so I won’t recomment using it under your eyes, but to cover up other imperfections, it’s perfect. Great drugstore product, that is easy to apply and blend, it also stays on very well. But what I like best, is the shade – it’s just perfect and it really adapts to my skin tone. If you are tan like me or slightly lighter, definitely try the shade 3 ‘Cream’.

And finally, the new eyliner I got from one of my favourite makeup brands – Vivienne Sabo. I can’t say I am too pleased with it – it’s okay, nothing special. The tip seems really great, but it actually took me a while to make a perfect cat-eye. It’s an okay drugstore eyeliner for just $6.

If I ever have to choose only one product from my makeup collection, it will probably be my Vivienne Sabo bronzer (or my Garnier concealer:)

Image

I’ve been using this stuff for a year already. I first got it because I loved the packaging, plus it’s a drugstore product and costs only $8. When I first applied it, I knew it was perfect consistency, shade, smell, just everything. It has very pretty and subtle shimmer to it and it NEVER breaks me out. Also I love how it makes my skin super soft! Just overall it’s the best bronzer I’ve used!

However, a couple of weeks ago when I went to Watson’s,I found that Vivienne Sabo came up with new bronzers, which I immediately wanted to get.

Image

It turned out, it was the same bronzer, just different packaging, which I think is super cute. I use it every time I do my makeup because it gives a very nice sunkissed look without looking orange or too shimmery.

However, if you are looking for a bronzer to contour your face, I recommend getting a darker one without any shimmer, try chocolate Bronzer from Bourjois or Laguna bronzer by Nars.

What I Use For My Brows/ REVIEW: Cosmopolitan Eyebrow Styling Kit

I got this little Cosmopolitan brow palette from feelunique.com a while ago. I really had love-hate relationship with it. First I didn’t like it – the stencils didn’t work for my brow shape/face, I hated the quality of the brush – soooooooo cheap looking. Also the eyeshadows looked too shimmery and not pigmented at all. However, after a while I decided to give it another try. I must say it’s okay if you use a better brush. What I like, when you do your brows the shimmer disappears and everything looks matte. I usually use the darker color for the ‘inner’ parts of my brows, and then for the ‘brow tail’ I apply a nice matte chocolate brown from my Sephora palette.
To sum it up, it’s an okay brow palette for around $10, but you’ll need to buy a proper brush. Also if you have darker hair/brows, this stuff is not for you – the colors are not too pigmented. But if you are blond, this palette will probably match your eyebrow shade.
