Best BB Cream for Combination/Oily Skin

Having tried sooooooo many BB creams during spring and summer time, I finally found the one that fits my skin best. Garnier BB cream Miracle Skin Perfector for combination/oily skin is great for you if you try to mattify your skin and get rid of oilyness and shine. It doesn’t break me out, has very nice buildable formula, just overall a very good product for a reasonable prise. Wish it came in more than 2 shades though. I got both light and medium, since my skin used to be really pale, now I mix both shades, and hopefully in a week I am going to use medium only 🙂

Since I haven’t been makeup/beauty shopping for a while, I ran out of some products, plus I wanted to try some new ones.

Okay, as you guys know, Rimmel is probably one of my favourite makeup brands ever. Their products are amazing, so I decided to grab a couple of Rimmel stuff.

First of all, I almost ran out of my favourite powder, mine is in shade 005 ‘Silky beige’:

Image

It’s a great powder for those of us with combination to oily skin. But for summer, when we all get sweaty, it’s a must.

As you guys know, I love Apocalips lip stains and I am especially loving this one in ‘Nude eclipse’. It’s gorgeous, has very creamy opaque formula, stays on well and has very fresh scent to it. Speaking about the Scandaleyes eye shadow stick, it’s my first one and I think it’s a very decent product for the prise. Again, very creamy, vibrant colour, doesn’t smudge. Mine is in shade ‘Bulletproof beige’. And finally the last Rimmel purchase was this eye primer. I haven’t used many eye primers before, only Urban Decay’s one. I usually use my Maybelline’s Color Tattoo eyeshaws as eye shadow base and they work great for me. I was very curious and excited to get this primer, but I didn’t love it that much. I mean it is okay, nothing special.

Next thing I got – a new lip gloss. Since I ran out of my favourite from Sephora, I needed something similar – something very light, non-sticky, moisturising and with a beautiful subtle shimmer to it.

Image

This YSL gloss is in color ‘Golden Macadamia’ and in person it is more beige than pink. I really love the packaging and how gorgeous the color is. However I am not a fan of the brush and the smell. I can say that overall, it’s okay, but I definitely like my Sephora lip gloss (which is like 3 times cheaper) much more!

That’s it for my makeup purchases, and now going to my recent beauty buys.

Image

If you like peel off facial masks, you are probably going to enjoy this one by Beauty Formulas – smells great, cleanses perfectly and is very affordable. Another Beauty Formulas purchase – my favourite cleansing wipes. Because my skin is sensitive, I get these ones and they are brilliant – they remove all the impurities and don’t break me out. And they are also very cheap.

You guys know, how much I love Lee Stafford hair products and I really like my new heat protecting spray. It definitely does what it says. Definitely try it if you are looking for a good product that protects your skin against flat iron, curling wand, blow drying, etc.

And finally, the last thing I got was a new daily moisturiser.

Image

This one by Garnier is pretty good. I apply a tiny amount on my face when I am not wearing makeup. Since my skin is oily, I can’t put it under foundation, I just use some facial toner.  I find that this stuff is really good for those days when you want your skin to rest a bit, but if you have dry to normal skin, you can probably use it instead of a primer, because it leaves your skin very silky.

That’s it for my recent haul,

Love you guys

Hello ladies,

I just realized I haven’t been posting about my monthly favourites for a while now, so I want to share with you my March favourites. These bad boys I have been using a lot during the month of March.

ImageI

I would like to start with Glorious Mud facial mask by Beauty Formulas. I love BF products – they are good for my skin, they don’t break me out and they are very affordable. And this mask is not an exception  – it leaves my skin soft, deeply cleaned, poreless and matte. It’s perfect if you have oily or acne-prone skin. Mine is oily, so I use this stuff once or twice a week and my skin loves it.

Another favourite of mine is Nivea lip balm in ‘Milk & Honey’. I told you guys that my skin is oily. But there is one dry patch on my face – my lips. If your lips also tend to get chapped a lot, definitely try this balm – it’s VERY moisturising, smells lovely and costs approximately $2!

Before moving towards my makeup favourites, I would like to mention a fabulous product that is just in between. Yeap, I am talking about Garnier roll-on concealer for the under eye area. It’s the best concealer for covering up dark circles, also it moisturises the tender skin so well. I am definitely going to repurchase that as soon as I run out of it. It’s like a good concealer and an eye cream in one bottle!

Also, I would like to mention  Volume Millions Lashes Excess Mascara by L’oreal. I’ve been using it a lot in March. I am very pleased with the quality and the brush. You can do any look with it – it can make your lashes look very natural, or if you put more coats, you get a more dramatic took, which I love. Like any other L’oreal Mascara, this one is very good.

And finally, my Maybelline Color Tattoos cream eyeshadows. I got these in summer and I used them a lot. But recently I started using them again as an eyeshadow base. These babies really make my Naked2 palette pop. If I do an everyday look, I would use the golden Color Tattoo eyshadow (sorry, don’t remember the name), but if I am doing a smokey eye, I would sweep the bronzy color all over my lid and then apply something like ‘Busted’ or ‘Snakebite’ from Naked2.

So yeah, these are my March favourites.

xoxo

Hi guys,

I have been pretty busy lately, so unfortunately didn’t have much time to blog or shop 😦

Today, however, I realized I bought a couple of things, I wanted to show you.

But first of all, look at this adorable sheep, that my friend Safie bought in Poland. We have this little tradition – whenever my friends or me travel, we always get each other cute souvenires 🙂 So thank you, Safie, this little buddy is lovely!

Okay, for my haul, which was pretty small, I got a new face toner. I was running out of my Nivea mattifying toner, so I wanted to get the new one. I went to Watson’s, but was pretty upset to hear they didn’t have it. Instead, they suggested trying new mattifying toner from a Finnish brand Lumene. It’s twicew more expensive than the Nivea one, but it does the job – keeps my skin matte and looking fresh. Also it doesn’t break me out!

Image

It also makes my pores so much smaller. Very good toner, definitely try it out if you have oily skin.

Also I got some new brushes, which I am so excited about. Some of them are made of natural hair, some are synthetic, but they are all very good quality!!!

From left to right:

  • huge eyeshadow brush (I use it for contouring my face)
  • foundation brush
  • eyeshadow brush
  • sponge eyeshadow brush

That’s it for my little beauty haul. Hope you guys liked it 🙂

Hey guys,

Remember I promised you, I’d do a review on my Prime Time Oil Control primer from BareMinerals? Finally, I am ready to do it. I’ve had it for at least 1 month now, I think.

Image

I would like to start with the packaging. Some people might think it’s boring, but for me, this kind of packaging ( simple and ‘serious’) is an indicator of a good product. I mean, we all love cute little boxes and bottles, but this is the case when you expect alot from a product, that looks very… mmm ‘professional’, I’d say.

Image

This is the first product from BareMinerals, I’ve owned, and I’ve been pretty excited about using it. I tried it with different fondations. It didn’t break me out, but it definitely didn’t make my oily skin look matte. It’s VERY moisturising!!!!! The bottle should have said ‘super moisturising for dry skin’ instead of ‘oil control’. And for around 20 GBP I am pretty upset with the product.

Honestly, my foundation looks more fresh without this primer.

If you have combination skin, it might work for you, but for those with oily skin (like mine), don’t waste your money. Instead, I suggest getting Urban Decay’s De Slick Setting Spray. I got their XL version of this product for $20 and I am happy with it. Works great with Maybelline 24H foundation and Rimmel’s Stay Matte foundation.

What is your favourite primer or foundation?

Hello everyone,

First of all I wanted to remind you guys that the giveaway is closing up on January 25th, so hurry if you want to enter. You still have a chance to win!!! The rules are easy – follow me on Instagram, follow, comment and like this blog.

So the winner is going to get some of my all-time favourite beauty products:

Image

The winner gets bronzer, blush, mascara, lipstick in peachy-pink color, brow gel – all from Vivienne Sabo, which is an amazing French makeup brand. Also eyeshadow and highlighter/eyeshadow from Sephora and Rimmel’s Kate lipstick in nude color.

On weekend I am going to announce the lucky winner. And the giveaway is international btw

Also I wanted to mention, that one of the reasons I haven’t posted for a while is because I’ve been pretty busy with my photoshoot. I was not only a model, but I also did my hair and makeup, which I am super excited about:)

So yesterday the photographer contacted me saying the first photo was ready!

Image

I was a bit nervous because it was my first real photoshoot, but it all turned out to be so much fun!!!

The makeup I used: Rimmel’s Stay Matte foundation, Maybelline Affinitone concealer, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, for my brows I used color ‘Tease’ from Urban Decay’s Naked2 palette, Vivienne Sabo’s Coup De Genie Eyebrow pencil in 001 to create a perfect arch and Fixateur Eyebrow gel also from Vivienne Sabo.

For my eyes I used: ‘Bootycall’ from Naked2 palette on my brow bone and in the inner corner of my eyes, as well as a little bit of ‘Verve’. On my lids I put ‘YDK’ and ‘Snakebite’. I usually use more of ‘Half Baked’ and ‘Chopper’, but this time I wanted a more drammatic look, so I used darker shades. For my outer corner of the eye I used ‘Busted’, which is a gorgeous shimmery dark brown color. For my crease I used a beautiful burgundy-ish color (if you can say that, it’s a shimmery mixture of burgundy, purple and brown) from Vivienne Sabo’s eyeshadow quad in 66. Instead of an eyeliner I used ‘Blackout’ from Naked2.

On my lower lash line I applied Maybelline’s Master Smoky shadow-pencil in ‘Smoky Chocolate’ and a little bit of ‘Busted’ on top of that. For my waterline I used a cheap 1$ white pencil, you can basically use any one you like, mine is from Golden Rose. I don’t use white pencils too much, but because I didn’t manage to get a good sleep before the photoshoot, I had to apply it. As for the mascara, I used, ‘Diva’s Lashes’ from Pupa.

Next step – bronzer. I used ‘Voyage en Provance’ from Vivienne Sabo (the same one I got for the giveaway). It’s not too shimmery, not orange at all. It makes my skin really soft and smells amazing. Then goes blush, mine also from Vivienne Sabo ‘Teinte Delicate’ in 12 (the winner gets one too).

Also a highlighter for the inner corners of my eyes, cupid’s bow and cheek bones. I used ‘Mineralize Skinfinish’ in soft and gentle from Mac. And to set my makeup I used Urban Decay’s De Slick setting spray because my skin is oily. But if you have dry to normal skin, you probably can skip that part.

Okay, for my lips I used a cheap nude pink pencil from Flormar, my favourite lipstick ever ‘Charme de Vous’ in 112 from Vivienne Sabo (the lucky winner gets it too) and on top of that I used the best lipgloss ever ‘Precious Pink Jewels’ from Sephora. It makes my lipstick last for good 3-4 hours, is not sticky at all! Very lightweight on my lips, smells great and has a perfect applicator.

That’s it for my makeup 🙂 I know, it might sound complicated, but it isn’t. It took me around 35 minutes to do it.

For my hair I used my curling wand from Babyliss. I love it so much!

On my nails I got ‘Xtreme Wear’ nailpolish in ‘Black Out’ from Sally Hansen.

For my outfit (the part of it you can see on the photo), I am wearing a basic black tee from Zara, black leather jacket from Religion, my earrings are no-name, they are from a local store, my watch is from Paul’s Boutique (love it to death))) and my both bracelets are from Asos.

Hope u guys like it 🙂

Hi everyone,

These last couple of days have been pretty crazy, and on top of that I feel really sick 😦

So yeah, in between sipping my disgusting lemony/honey drink (ewww) I’ve decided to tell you guys about my fun experience with an amazing online makeup store feelunique.com. It offers a big range of makeup, both drugstore and high-end. But the best part is that it has free international shipping with no minimum spend.  With my first order I didn’t want to go too crazy, so I purchased items I really needed (well pretty much:)

Image

I was running out of my favourite Rimmel Stay Matte foundation, so I repurchased that, and I also got this oil control primer for oily skin. The foundation I am really satisfied with, and it’s very affordable too. It’s not very buildable though, and the shades are a little bit too light, I think. But it definitely keeps me matte! Speaking about the primer, I haven’t tried it yet, but I promise I’ll do a review of this stuff, as soon as I get better and use it at least 5 times.

Overall, I am very happy with feelunique, the shipping was fast, the items came very well-packed. And yeah, I am definitely going to do my makeup shopping there again.

And for those who are wondering, I am constantly adding new stuff to the giveaway.

Image

Right now it includes my favourite blush, 2 lipsticks (Rimmel’s Kate in 03 and Vivienne Sabo Charme de Vous in 112), mascara, eye shadow and a gorgeous bronzer. The rules are simple – you have to follow, comment and like my blog and follow my Instagram page.
