These are the lip products that I discovered and enjoyed using in 2013. The reason I didn’t include my Sephora lip gloss or Vivienne Sabo Lipstick in 112 is because I first tried them in 2012.
Going back to my lip favourites of 2013, I’ve chosen 5 products – 2 lipsticks, 2 lip glosses and 1 lip stain.
The lipsticks are: Kate Matte by Rimmel in 107 (gorgeous and very pigmented burgundy) and Creme Cup by Mac (lovely neutral pink that looks good on so many people).
The lip glosses are: Glam Shine 6h by L’oreal in 102 Always Pink (identical to my natural lip color, looks good on it’s own and locks the lipstick for up to 4 hours) and YSL golden gloss in 20 (I didn’t like it at first, but it works great with my nude Rimmel lipsticks).
And finally, Apocalips by Rimmel in Nude Eclipse is the perfect nude. This lip stain stays on well and smells good. Lovely product!
Overall, I’ve tried so many great makeup products during 2013. Right now I am looking dorward to buying some lip glosses from Tanya Burr’s Lips & Nails collection. She is a great makeup artist and I am sure the products she is launching are going to be luxe quality.

Instead of going for my favourite simple burgundy nails, I decided to make tips of my ring fingers super glittery and festive.

For anyone who doesn’t know yet, I am a massive caramel macchiato addict. I only drink venti btw. The caramel on top looks delicious!

Let me start by saying that this palette is such a luxurious makeup item. For $85 you get a beautiful palette that looks like a black wallet when it is closed. But when you open it, it reveals a big mirror, a miniature version of Diorshow mascara, six gorgeous eye shadows, two lip plumpers, two lipglosses, face powder and two little brushes. For this kind of price you obviously get luxe products, that are great quality.

This palette makes a perfect present. I personally received it as a Birthday gift from a friend.

The eye shadows in this makeup palette are shimmery. There is a beautiful pearly highlighting color, two brown shades on the left, and on the right you get perfect colors for Fall – pink, taupe color and a gorgeous bugundy.

The lip plumpers are lovely too. They are like lip balms and after you’ve applied them you get cold and tingly sensation on your lips.

The lipstick are very flattering colors – very natural, so they will most likely suit every skin shade.

Powder is great too, however for someone with oily skin like myself, nothing works better than Rimmel’ s Stay Matte powder.

And, finally, the mascara. This miniature Diorshow has a tiny wand, hence it’s perfect for your lower lashes. Also it’s great for trips if you don’t like to carry a full-sized mascara.

Overall, it’s a beautiful high-end product that will make any girl happy. It’s perfect for someone who already has a ton of makeup so this palette would be a luxurious addition to the collection.

I am not one of those bloggers who do a favourites post every month. I usually use the same stuff, so it would be quite boring to read for you guys. But during October I’ve been trying out some new products and some of them are pretty amazing.

Image

Starting with this fab sunglusses I got in the end of August. I love these but I am not a huge sunglasses lover – they always hurt my nose and give me headaches. The reason I got these is because my Accessorize ones got broken, so I purchased these from Asos for only $10! I was shocked when I received them – they felt really well done and super amazing quality. They look very expensive and I get lotsa compliments about these sunnies. Also I think everyone needs a pair of cheap sunglasses so that you won’t be afraid of breaking them. That is the reason I use these most of the time and my Marc Jacobs ones are always at home

Next – my favourite perfume for Fall. I have never included a perfume into my favourites post as far as I remember, but since I’ve been using Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears non-stop during October, I thought I’d mention it. I got it a while ago in Bangkok airport, mine is a 50 ml bottle that has one third of it left now. It’s a sweet but not too overwhelming scent. I know that most people use it in the evining but for me it’s a 24h perfume that is very feminine. I am not very good at describing perfumes, but if you like sweet and quite deep scents, definitely try it out.

Argan Oil Nutrition Infusing Mask by Argan Deluxe is something I have been raving about for a while. Great product for split and dry ends. I have done a separate review on this hair treatment so I am just going to say that it is my all-time favourite mask that makes my hair healthy, shiny and more voluminous.

Going to my makeup favourites, I’d like to mention a product that I’ve talked about in my previous posts – Rimmel’s Kate Matte Lipstick in 107. Perfect burgundy shade, that doesn’t smudge (for more details check out my previous posts).

And finally, my two last makeup products that I adore, both by L’oreal – True Match foundation and concealer.

True Match foundation by L’oreal ( I am in the shade R3-C3) is one of the best drugstore foundations

I have ever used. It’s better than some high-end ones even. It’s not too cakey, blendable and feels light on my skin, but also gives me a decent amount of coverage. It really does kind of adapt to your skin, which I love. Great for normal to combination skin.

My last favourite is  True Match concealer. I received it as a present from my aunt. Mine is in the shade ‘3 Cream’ and it’s a very neutral beige color with yellow undertones. When I started using it in August I was very tan and it worked perfect, and now when I am quite pale I still use it and it doesn’t look dark at all. So it adapts to your skin too, just as the foundation. It has quite thick and dry consistency, so I definitely recommend it for concealing blemishes and any kind of redness, but not under eye circles.  Overall, the best concealer I have ever tried, will definitely repurchase it.

Halloween was exciting and cool this year. Although I haven’t done any particular costume, I thought a burgundy lipstick would finish up my look.

Image

The coat I am wearing on this picture is from Mango. It was out of stock in my size absolutely everywhere, but I was lucky to find it at House of Fraser and only one piece available! I got quite a few things lately, so fashion haul is coming up!

I curled my hair with my Babyliss curling wand.

As for the lipstick, I am wearing a blend of two.

I find that it is quite complicated to find a perfect shade of burgundy and red lipsticks. But these two bad boys work great for pretty much any skin tone and hair color. They are both in the shade 107( a universal burgundy number or something?!)), one is from Vivienne Sabo, one – from Rimmel. Although the shades are almost identical, these lippies are quite different. The Rimmel one is matte, hence it is drying but at the same time it’s long lasting and doesn’t smudge. The Vivienne Sabo lipstick is one of my alltime favourites, they are VERY moisturising, like a lip balm. But with a bright shade like this it’s not always good, because it does smudge. So what I do, I usually apply the Rimmel one, and then add a tiny bit of my Vivienne Sabo lippie in the centre of my lips to keep them hydrated.

I have been a fan of the original version of Rimmel Kate lipstick for more than a year now. It is not the most moistuisng lip product, but the pigmentation is great and I love how long lasting it is. Especially if you put a lip gloss on top, you don’t need to reapply it for a couple of hours. Plus, it is a drugstore product, so it is very affordable. I also think that Rimmel lipsticks are similar quality as Mac, but they are twice cheaper.
But going back to the Matte version of Kate lippie, they are pretty much the same quality as the original ones. I recently got colors 113 (beige) and 107 (rich burgundy). The burgundy is absolutely beautiful for Fall and I adore the pigmentation of this product. If you are looking for a perfect burgundy, definitely try this one because it looks amazing on different skin tones.

Hi dolls,

You know how obsessed I am with nailpolish and nail art, and so it has been such a challenge for me to pick just 3 nailpolishes that I really really do love.

Okay, let’s jump right into it. My #1 favourite is Complete Salon Manicure by Sally Hansen in color ‘Pat on the black 660’. I own different nailpolishes by Sally Hansen, but I feel like Xtreme wear and Diamond Strength don’t dry too fast and start chipping too soon.

Image

The color is gorgeous. Apply one coat and you get a beautiful creamy purple/burgundy, apply two, and it’s almost black. It’s opaque, not sheer at all, dries VERY fast. The brush is amazing too, and it stays on for good 5-7 days.

My #2 is 60 Seconds by Rimmel in ‘320 Rapid Ruby’. It’s formula and flat brush is very similar to the Sally Hansen’s one, but it starts to chip in 4-6 days after application. But because the price is so good I don’t mind reapplying 😉

Image

As you can see, no matter it’s spring, I stick to my darks, burgundy and red))))

But this color is sooooo beautiful in person, it’s darker, almost burgundy.

The third place goes to P2 Silk Ridgefiller. I love this stuff. I got it as a gift from a friend, who lives in Germany. It doesn’t have any color, but it leaves my nails looking so naturally beautiful and polished. The finish is almost matte.

Image

It dries fast, and I love how it feels on my nails. Also, I know that some people use it as a base coat, but for me it doesn’t work like that. It literally takes 100 years to dry after I apply a second coat of nailpolish.

And now, the Nailpolish Disappointment. It’s weird because overall, I like Maybelline makeup and nailpolishes, but this one was just horrible quality!!!

Image

I was looking for a simple white nailpolish for a couple of weeks now – white nails are huuuuge for spring. I was so excited to try it out, because it looked perfect in the bottle. However, it turned out to be hideous! The color is soooooooooooo sheer, you have to apply at least 3-4 coats for it to look alright. It also dries incredibly slowly. So yeah, very upset with it. If you guys know where I can get a good opaque white nailpolish, please tell me 🙂

Hope you enjoyed,

Hugs&kissed
